COMELEC Publishes Certificates of Candidacy and Nominations Online for 2025 Midterm Elections

MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Elections on Wednesday, October 30, posted on its website the certificates of candidacy of 183 senators and the certificates of acceptance of nominations of 156 list party groups.

This is a first as the Commission on Elections has not made public the COCs and CONAs submitted by candidates in previous elections.

Although the scanned documents are partially redacted, the following information about the individuals vying for congressional seats is accessible:

Full name
Nickname
Gender
Age
Date of birth
Place of birth
Marital status
Name of spouse
Occupation or employment
Political party or coalition
Place of residence (province, city, barangay only)
Length of residence in the Philippines
Name in the Philippines Official ballot

Addressee Additional information includes voter registration status and past offenses that may permanently disqualify you from holding public office.

Pending cases that have been adjudicated will also be listed in the COC, but at the candidate’s discretion.

However, some candidates did not list their current and past cases.

This information is also not included in each CONA’s party-list candidate documents.

Candidates’ COC and CONA can be accessed by simply clicking on their names or party lists on the Comelec website.

Filing of COCs and CONAs for the 2025 midterm elections took place from October 1st to 8th.
