Leonardo Campana has disclosed that Lionel Messi’s magnetism leaves his Inter Miami teammates “applauding” during training.
All-time great relocated to the States in 2023 and made an instant impression both on and off the field, and at 37 years old, showed no signs of slowing down.

WHAT HAPPENED?
A few months after winning the World Cup, the unpredictable playmaker relocated to the US in 2023. Despite having eight Ballon d’Or to his record, Messi is the most decorated player of all time, and he hasn’t let up since moving to Florida.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Along with players like Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets, his presence has made Inter Miami strong candidates for all of the available trophies. They are presently working to win the MLS Cup in 2024 and the Supporters’ Shield.
WHAT CAMPANA SAID
As the talisman captain of the Herons, Messi has a significant role to play in such missions. Campana has shared with AS what it’s like to work with the Argentine greatness: “Everyone wants to know what he’s like as a person.” You become accustomed to the reality because you spend so much time with him and are always surrounded by him. He is a remarkable individual, serene and modest. He brings out the best in every player, so I would want to spend as much time as possible on the same field as him.
DID YOU KNOW?
The Ecuadorian international Campana commented on Messi’s training while he was playing, saying, “I have a memory from one of the first training sessions.” Campana will compete fiercely for attacking positions at Chase Stadium. We all got up and began cheering as he scored a fantastic goal after completing an incredible move in training. You won’t see a player like him do anything else than that to you. He consistently scores excellent goals. People are simply like, “Wow!” when they see this. There’s nothing for it except to be in awe of him.
WHAT NEXT FOR MESSI & INTER MIAMI?
This season, Campana has surpassed Gonzalo Higuain to become Inter Miami’s all-time top striker. However, Messi is aiming to break that record as well, as the seasoned 37-year-old has already scored 28 goals in 33 games altogether.
