This year, she returns with her signature charm in “No Gain No Love,” which began streaming on Prime Video this week.

Without a doubt, “No Gain No Love” has generated a lot of good vibes among K-drama viewers and netizens. There has been a lot of praise online, not just for Mina, but also for the series’ unique approach to relationships.

In this series, Mina plays Song Hye-young, a woman who makes life decisions that don’t involve losses, hence her nickname “Zero Loss.” She is braver and more mature as she already knows what she wants, especially the promotion in the company.

Realizing that only men or married women have a chance for this promotion, she decides to enter into a fake marriage with Kim Ji-wook, a part-time worker at the supermarket, played by actor Kim Young-dae. Ji-Wook, who always tries to make things difficult for Hye-young on purpose, takes on the “job” of being the groom anyway.

The cute Mina that everyone knows becomes even more lovable as her chemistry with lead actor Young-dae shines. Keep an eye out for their funny and tricky moments as a newlywed couple!

Not the usual rom-com

While the themes of No Gain No Love are already well known, the series takes a unique approach to romantic comedy, exploring relationships among friends, family, and the workplace.

The show features complex characters played by equally outstanding actors, and the plot develops intriguingly throughout the series.

And there is a complicated relationship between Hye-young and her adopted siblings, one of whom is Nam Ja-yeon, played by Han Ji-Hyun. Ji-Hyun is in her second leading role alongside actor Lee Sang-yi, who plays Bok Gyu-hyun.

Their love story is just as entertaining as the main characters, providing viewers with even more romance and laughs. But as the plot unfolds, their lives turn out to be much more closely intertwined than expected.

There’s a lot of surprises

“No Gain No Love” also has other surprises for Korean drama fans to enjoy, such as the cameo appearance of popular actors like Byun Woo-Seok from another Korean drama hit “Lovely Runner.” He appears as Ji-wook’s replacement at the supermarket where he used to work part-time. This crossover certainly surprised viewers.

Recently, the Korean producers of “No Gain No Love” also announced a two-episode spinoff, “Spice Up Our Love,” which will conclude Ja-yeon and Gyu-hyun’s romantic story. The work will also be screened on Prime Video.

After some hilarious moments in the first half of the series, prepare for tears towards the end when secrets are revealed between main characters Hae-young and Ji-Wook, and ultimately the people they care about most. Will you win the love? You’ll have to find out for yourself.
