MANILA, Philippines — Actress Andrea Brillantes stressed that she didn’t get VIP treatment because she lined up early for Olivia Rodrigo’s “Guts” concert at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on Saturday, October 5.
The young actress addressed comments made by some fans that she received special or VIP treatment while attending the Filipino-American Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter’s sold-out concert on Saturday.
“I realize now that I expressed myself poorly and that it was taken as me showing off my status, but you all misunderstood it. What I meant to say is that I ended up at the front of the queue even though I’ve never been in line before,” she wrote. “I lined up super early for this,” the actress wrote on her Instagram Story on Saturday, along with a smiling face emoji, revealing that she was in line the morning of Olivia’s concert that night.
“It wasn’t VIP treatment or anything magical,” she added.
The actress posted several IG Stories the morning of the concert, including a clip of her fanning herself while waiting in line. There were noticeably fewer people in line.
Other celebrities spotted at Olivia’s sold-out show included Charlene San Pedro, Ladson Flores, and Marian Rivera, who came with her daughter Gia.
